I
find these images just so amazing. There's a certain degree of
calculation and its so obviously contrived, while at the same time - simply chaotic. Hundreds of
objects packed into a seemingly small space gives this sense of
overwhelm and there is no place to rest the eye, which relates back to the term, Horror Vacui. This layering of mini structures alludes to a kind of decoration and I'm reminded of tiny pleats, gathers or tucks. The possibility of surface detail and decoration is still resinating with me.
